For Bachelor’s fuksis
Welcome new students of Kestävät Yhdyskunnat (KEY) as well as Real Estate Economics and Geoinformatics (KIG) finnish bachelors’!
We Ella and Vili, are your Fuksi Captains and work with the help of the ISO Coordinator and other older students of the guild.
Please don’t hesitate to be in contact if questions arise about starting your studies in our guilds bachelor’s programs.
The fuksi guide will be released on the finnish version of this page so go check it out. The guide will be sent out by mail to bachelor’s students in August. The guide will contain all sorts of important info such as links to the important telegram chats, where more info will be posted. So go on ahead and find yourself to the MK fuksi announcements channel when the time comes!!
A strong recommendation to get these applications as they are integral to student life in Aalto:
Telegram is a messaging app, which the Aalto student community almost exclusively uses. It can be use as an app on your phone and computer or through the browser. MK communications about events will happen here so it is the place to be!
Aalto Space is a map of the Aalto campus. It is handy for finding your way around and locating specific study and lecture spaces. The main building can be like a maze so Aalto space is very helpful for finding your way to your first lecture. Importantly you can also reserve study spaces through the app.
Frank app hosts your student ID for free. The ID is a must have as it gives you access to student discounts of which the most important is the lunch discount. Students get a discount on lunch at campus canteens with a meal costing 3.10€ as of 2026.
