The Board

Chair

  • Ensures that the guild’s activities are legal, in line with the rules and effective
  • Leads the Board and maintains the motivation and well-being of other members
  • Maintains contact with partners, such as other guilds and staff of the institution
  • Represents the guild on the MIL ry board
  • Represents the guild in the Student Union Council

Vice Chair

  • Prepares agendas and minutes for board and guild meetings
  • Is responsible for the maintenance and catering of the guild room
  • Organizes coffee gatherings with the monttu gnomes
  • Oversees the guild’s harassment contact person activities
  • Supports the guild board’s chairperson in their duties
  • Takes care of the chairperson’s responsibilities when they are unavailable
  • Represents the guild in the Teekkari Section’s Teekkari Culture Committee (TKTMK

Treasurer

  • Manages the guild’s finances and assets
  • Prepares the budget and financial statements
  • Maintains the membership register
  • Represents the guild in the student union’s financial committee

Fuksicaptains

  • Ensures freshmen have a safe start with the help of the leader of ISOs and ISOs
  • Introduces fuksis to teekkari and guild of surveying engineers culture and encourage them to participate in activities
  • Is responsible for informing fuksis, organizing events, creating the fuksi guide, and the fuksi point card
  • Supervises the guild’s ISO activities
  • Represents the guild in the Teekkari Section’s Fuksi Committee (FTMK)

Master’s Student Captain

  • Ensures a smooth start for master’s fuksis with the help of the second master’s captain, leader for the international tutors and master’s ISOs
  • Introduces master’s freshmen to teekkari culture and the guild of surveying engineers traditions and encourages participation
  • Represents the guild in the Teekkari Section’s International Committee KVTMK

Master of Studies

  • Key figure in student advocacy
  • Acts as a link between the department, school, and students and informs about study-related changes and other current matters
  • Represents the guild in the student union’s Academic Affairs Council and closely cooperates with hallopeds, also acting as one of the guild’s hallopeds
  • Responsible for the guild’s high school marketing in collaboration with the School of Engineering ENG

Hosts

  • Organizes sitsis, sauna evenings, and other events they come up with!
  • Represents the guild in the student union’s Host and Hostess Committee IE
  • Leads the guild’s assisting hosts

Master of Corporate Relations

  • Acquires sponsors to support guild activities
  • Organizes excursions
  • Organizes the PuoliPitkä event with the Master of Culture and External Relations
  • Represents the guild in the student union’s Corporate Relations Committee YTMK

Master of Culture and External Relations

  • Sends guild members to international events like Nordiskt möte
  • Organizes try outs and other sports events for members together with the sports coordinators
  • Organizes fun excursions
  • Organizes the PuoliPitkä event with the Master of Corporate Relations
  • Represents the guild’s board in MAIK ry
  • Represents the guild in the Teekkari Section’s Teekkari Culture Committee (TKTMK)

Publicist

  • Responsible for the guild’s internal and external communication
  • Manages the guild’s website and social media channels together with their guild officials
  • Maintains the guild’s email lists and creates the weekly newsletter
  • Represents the guild in the student union’s Communications Committee VTMK

  • Assists the IE in organizing sitsit and other events

Head of song leaders

  • Leads the guild’s songleaders
  • Represents the guild in the Teekkari Section’s Songleading Committee LuTKu

Songleaders

  • Maintains Teekkari singing culture by leading songs at sitsis and the annual ball
  • Manages songbooks for sitsis if needed
  • Helps plan and organize singing events

Songleader Apprentices

  • Attends sitsis with the songleaders and helps them if needed
  • Are those who wish to be songleaders

Artistic directors of the Maakansallisbaletti

  • Leads the activities of Maakansallisbaletti

Annual Ball Masters

  • Organizes the guild’s annual ball
  • Assembles the annual ball committee

Fuksi Division

Leader of ISOs

  • Organizes the guild’s ISO activities for finnish speaking students
  • Manages ISO recruitment and training
  • Represents the guild in the student union’s Tutoring Committee ITMK
  • Organizes events for ISOs for example ISOsitsis
  • Works as the closest help for the fuksicaptains if needed.

  • Help new exchange and master’s students integrate into Teekkari and the Guild of Surveying Engineers culture

Alumni responsibles

  • Are responsible for alumni activities

Abi responsible’s helpers:

  • Assists the Master of Studies in their duties
  • Participates in high school marketing events

Hallopeds

  • Represents students in university decision-making
  • Attends meetings in decision-making bodies

Internal Division

Monttu-gnomes

  • Assists the Vice Chair in organize coffee gatherings and maintain the guild room

Harassment contact persons

  • Provide support, a discussion channel, and measures for any guild members who feel they have experienced harassment

Communication Division

Geometres’ editors-in-chief

  • Publishes the guild magazine Geometres about four times a year
  • Represents the guild in the student union’s Publications Committee PääTMK

Graphic Designers

  • Creates visual materials and advertisements
  • Designs overall patches
  • Creates graphics for Geometres

Photographers

  • Takes event photos and maintains the guild’s gallery
  • Gathers material for Geometres

Editors

  • Produce articles for Geometres

Social content creators

  • Develop the guild’s social media
  • Produce content for the channels

Web Wizard

  • Develops the website
  • Manages event sign-ups
  • Represents the guild in the student union’s Digital Committee
  • Trains the Web Wizard’s helpers

  • Represent the guild in MAIK’s board
  • Helps to organize the MAIK-head start, MAIK-sitsis and MAIK-cruise

Foreign Excursion Masters

  • Organizes the guild’s international excursion UVP
  • Assembles the international excursion committee

Others

Guardian ad litem

  • Provides support for the board, especially the chairperson
  • Leads the senior guild members

Scholars of Maakansa

  • Maintain traditions and introduce them to new members
  • Represent academically senior students

Merchants

  • Sells the guild’s overall patches and other merchandise
  • Monitors inventory and orders more merchandise if needed
  • Sells the guild’s merchandise at events outside the guild room

Operations inspectors

  • Ensures the guild’s activities comply with laws and regulation
