🏕Autumn trip🍂


It’s time to dig out the tents and sleeping bags from the closets, because the annual Autumn Trip of the Surveying Guild is here again. The venue this year is once more the OK77 cabin, located in Nuuksio! The trip will take place on October 10–11. 🏕🍂✨

Participation is free of charge, and everyone is welcome regardless of study year! 🙌🌟

Arrival:
It is recommended to arrive by bus (245A), since there are limited parking spots in the yard. There will also be a joint departure from the guild room in the morning, so you don’t need to find your way to the cabin on your own. 🚌🚗

Accommodation:
Accommodation options are the OK77 cabin (about 12), the army tent “PJ” (about 15), or your own accommodation (unlimited). Also, staying overnight is not mandatory! 🛏️

The reserved cabin has sleeping places for 12 people if you don’t have your own gear for sleeping outdoors. However, the clubhouse is rather small, so during the trip it will serve only as a sleeping place for those who signed up. In addition, the clubhouse has a sauna, a toilet, and a fridge for snacks. It’s also possible to stay overnight in the army tent (PJ), and the fire watch shifts will be divided based on card game results ;). Near the cabin there is also a lean-to with space for six, as well as an unheated hut, also for six. 🍁

Program (roughly):

Friday
12:30 Arrival at the OK77 cabin

  • About 10 km hiking route in the national park🍂
  • Shared meal for everyone 🍲
  • Sauna and birch whisking 🧖
  • Barbecue by the campfire (chocolate + marshmallow + biscuit = 😩). Note! If you like to strum a guitar and sing, it is more than welcome to bring your own instrument for campfire songs. 🔥🎸
  • Good night, fortune smiles, thank you for this day 🌙

Saturday

  • Slow mornings and sandwiches 🥪
  • Final cleanup 🧹
  • Back home 🏡

If you are worried about making it to Fundin’s annual ball, you can begin your ruska escape at your own pace on Saturday and head home according to your own schedule. However, everyone should leave the cabin by 12:00 at the latest. 🕛➡️

Registration:
Registration opens on Monday 29.9. at 12:00 and closes on Tuesday 7.10. at 23:59, after which registration becomes binding. ✍️
