Maanmittarikilju\u2019s home-brew contest and the home-brew weeks have started for the second time in history! We invite the guild\u2019s friends of fermented beverages to take part in the competition &#8211; it is the time to register your own brewery for the contest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The guild\u2019s best home-brew products (\u201ckilju\u201d or \u201ckiljusima\u201d or something similar) are chosen in the home-brew contest. The contest is open for everyone and there are 2 categories:<br>&#8211; <strong>The open category<\/strong>, that is open for all. In the open category the kiljus are judged neat without any extra garnish.<br>&#8211; <strong>The kilju drink category<\/strong>, where one can take part with a home-brew based drink. This category is also open for all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One can participate in the contest as a brewery alone or as a member of a team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The in-depth rules in Finnish are found <a href=\"https:\/\/maanmittarikilta.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Kiljukilpailun-sa\u0308a\u0308nno\u0308t-2024.pdf\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/maanmittarikilta.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Kiljukilpailun-sa\u0308a\u0308nno\u0308t-2024.pdf\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">here<\/mark><\/a>.<br><br>The winners are rewarded with a prize. The winner is chosen by a prestigious panel of judges with special knowledge in brewed beverages and passion for culinary experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Home-brew weeks culminate into the great Kilju gala, that will be held on Monday 22th of April, starting off the Wappu week with a blast. The winners of each category are chosen there. The Kilju gala is at Otarannan kerhotila, the exact starting time of the event is announced later. Every friend of Maanmittarikilju is warmly welcomed to the gala, even if not participating in the contest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color
